History of Mu Element Acupuncture Clinic

Dr. Sun is granddaughter of world famous acupuncturist doctor (Dr. Hansun Situ). She has earned TCM degree from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her medical practice and experience were highly influenced by her family’s long history of Chinese Medicine practice tradition.
Original clinic was found in 1942 by an acupuncturist couple in city of KunMing, China. The founders of this clinic were: Dr. Hansun Situ and Dr. Jiankang Sun.
Dr. Hansun Situ was an extremely skilled licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Situ was born in Kai-ping, Guangdong Province, China. She graduated from the Shanghai Chinese Medical College and earned lifetime membership in the Shanghai, Yi-chang Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. 
Dr. Situ has practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine for over sixty years, twenty-eight of which were spent at Shanghai's First Peoples' Hospital and combined Shanghai's Red Cross Hospital complex. For the seven years from 1978 through 1984, she served as Deputy Director of the Acupuncture Department of that major double hospital complex in Shanghai.
Dr. Situ was also the founder of the acupuncture department in Shanghai's First Peoples' Hospital in 1956. In the 1960s, Dr. Situ worked closely with the ENT and anesthesiology departments to launch and complete the world's first acupuncture anesthesia surgery. Its widespread influence is still highly effect current China acupuncture practice.
Dr. Jiankang Sun was also a very talented and skilled acupuncturist. He worked with his wife Dr. Situ together during world war II in city of KunMing and saved so many lives. Unfortunately, he passed away before the end of world war II. But his passion of Chinese medicine has highly influence and helped Dr.Situ with her persistence of life time in Chinese medicine practice.
